After a big string of games (Up Your Budget, DaVinci Code (Google and Eurostar), Treasure Hunters, Volvo Hunt, and AOL Gold Rush) I've become addicted to these types of games. I've been a little worried that I haven't heard of any upcoming games that will start after Gold Rush. Typically I've known about the games a good month in advance...

I'm not a big fan of the contests that require up front money to play. The Alchemist book  and this Prague Files one are not that appealing to me. Same with Perplex City and others. Something about spending money on them...  I'd think I'd feel worse about not winning. That's why I don't play the lottery anymore. Plenty of free to enter contests online.

I like to play games that have a potential cash payoff.  It helps me justify (to myself) the time, energy and creativity I invest.  Games like Gold Rush, The Da Vinci Quest, NBC's Treasure Hunters, David Blaine's Mysterious Stranger, The Aspen Treasure Hunt, Push Nevada and even Terraquest (which didn't last long) are justifiable investments, in my view, because the opportunity exists for a cash payoff.  To pay $6.95 a month for an adventure game with no or little potential for monetary return doesn't appeal to me.

I'm new to this online gaming thing, but it's been really fun.  Two weeks for $6.95 doesn't seem bad to me.  I like that there's a defined time frame, too.  I went to the site and it looks interesting.  I'd do it especially if I knew a couple of other people were playing, too, and we could help each other out.

Ya'll will not believe this. I have tried to help the best I can in this game, but ya'll have heard me complain about this slow pc of mine...grind grind grind, and I can't help if I don't have the challange in front of me, ya know? Any way, this was in my em today...

Now this has me finishing 3 YESTERDAY???? And there is no way I finished by that time. I time myself, It was more like 5 min with load time (I think I barely opened 3 at that point). Now, I would love to be in that semi final round...it would take a miracle...and on the one hand, a computer glich just might do it. But in all fairness,It's not right that aol credit me with a time that I do not have. I want to warn ya'll to watch your time that aol lists...

I met ExigentMind when I put up a posting on GR site for more goldbuddies. I am the one that turned him on to the chat room and blog. Steep, you kicked him out at one point because you thought he was a spammer. I have only seen him in the chat once. I thought I had blocked this guy in my em and im..he was very annoying, kept popping in all the time...He is the one that sent me that info. He is the one that is trying to mess with my head. Well, don't...there isn't much left TO mess with. All I want to do is play the game and once in a while enjoy the time I spend in the chat with my new friends. Is that too much to ask? Again, I'm sorry if I caused anyone to panic.

Treasure Hunter, The prague Files sounds really interesting sort of a cross between Alias & 24. The problem is when they are starting this game, right before the holidays. I don't know about anybody else, but I loved being involved with GR so much that I have been avoiding chores around house. I have so much catching up to do, then preparing for x-mas. If I can get enough accomplished by say Dec 2, to get involved with this then I would love to. I didn't see if there was a deadline that you had to register by, do you know if there is? Anyway I can't give an answer yet, for the reasons I stated.

my sentiments exactly from post by lovegold,,it looks really cool and i wouldnt mind putting out the 7$ to play,i mean its a one time fee cuz the game only last two weeks right?and even though there is no real prize,i played goldrush knowing that i wasnt going to be able to win or even that there were people out there faster than me,but i still played and neglected alot of things to play,and this was alot longer than 2 weeks,so i think i would be all for the prague files if i knew there were going to be more of us,,there are so many of these types of games online that its like input overload when i search through them,and most of them go on for alot more than 2 weeks,so i think i would do it,,if any of you guys are going to get together to do it let me know,,and i just ordered sotad book,,waiting for it to come in the mail,,now that one i cant wait for,,i am so excited about that one,,

Is there any idea on the time commitment??  If it is all consuming with the Holidays- it would be hard.  It does peak my interest though.  If others were to play I would probably do it.

I have no problem but I do not know how to retriever tex messages on my cell lol
I think the game will be fun if only 7 dollars to pay
