Because of His great love for us, God, the Eternal Triune Almighty Source of all Truth, Life and Light, created us and this universe for His own glory and our joy. Apart from Him, we can know and do nothing, like a passing shadow. We have rebelled against Him, but in His mercy and love, He came and rescued us from the deepest, darkest pit of wickedness and ruin, exchanging His Life for His children, granting us new life by His Holy Spirit, not because of any good in us, but only because of His love and mercy and compassion. Awakened and freed from this dungeon of darkness and decay, eternally safe in His most powerful grasp, alive to His Spirit and His Word, we are called to walk as Jesus did, in full obedience to the Father, with hearts of overflowing gratitude and amazement that we can be co-laborers and soldiers with Him in His Kingdom's expansion. Like the psalmist, we find that His Law is our heart's desire, all day long thinking on His Ways and desires for us, our families, His church, communities, governments, commerce, the lost and every other area of life. We long to be governed in every realm of life by all the exhaustive details of the always-abiding, perfect, pure, holy, comforting, all-sufficient, always-profitable, inerrant, only-wise Word of God. Any other rule will always lead to tyranny. As His children, we rejoice that the gospel is the power of God and that no human force can stand against the accomplishment of His foreordained plan- a perfect plan that He is Providentially overseeing in every of the minutest details of life. God needs no plan B. The glory of His people fully submitted to His Ways will shine forth to all the world, and His glory shall fill the earth as the waters cover the sea. As family after family, community after community, government after government, institution after institution gladly and fully bows to His glorious Ways, Christ shall have dominion over land and sea and earth's remotest regions shall His empire be. Evil will always fight against Him and His people, and the fight will not be easy, but in the end, our glorious Lord, King, Redeemer, Savior, Creator, Brother and Friend shall return to a world filled with His glory, where His church and His Ways have become victorious in the earth.
