1. To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. 21 To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. 23 I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings. (I Corinthians 9:19-23)
2. Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” (I Corinthians 15:33)
Any thoughts on how we are to balance these two ideas in our endeavor to follow Christ?
B8
Abide in Christ.
Ya gotta give me more, Joe.
John 15
So, keep His commandments (v10), and this will point the way to balance?
Yes. First, recognize Christ as your Lord and Savior. The go about being, not doing -- being careful to not be works oriented, but Christ oriented.
I meant "then go about ...". Sorry for the misspell.
No doubt the gospel is the final answer to every question that matters, but practically speaking, how do we both become all things to all people and also apply the fact that bad company ruins good morals?
