10-16 Primetime Shows
Well, I have decided that Tuesday night TV sucks. Didn’t seem that way last week to me. But for some reason, there weren’t shows that I actually wanted to watch at each time slot.
Tuesday night lineup!
8pm: Cavemen
8:30pm: Carpoolers
9pm: NOTHING
10pm: Law and Order SVU
Okay, well now that I replayed the night in my head….Tuesday nights do suck. I don’t even really want to watch Cavemen or Carpoolers anymore. I loved the first episode of Cavemen. Very funny. Though I know lots of folks thought it was a let down. Not to me. Well, I also wasn’t expecting anything from it. Again tonight I was on the phone so I wasn’t too into the show. All I remember is two of the guys arguing for one to ask his g/f if she had any friends. Didn’t watch Carpoolers to intently either. I am not into the show at all. I just watch it cause there’s nothing on and it’s after Cavemen. So I just leave it on the same channel.
Yes, I know you’re probably saying…why aren’t you watching Dancing with the Stars. I actually am of the camp that there is too much reality TV on. Especially, those with the celebrities. Come on, they’re already celebrities. I prefer Top Chef, Hell’s Kitchen and the like for reality shows. Well, and for some reason I watch that darn I Love New York. Didn’t think I was gonna get into that. Badmouthed it before the first season came out. But flipped channels, found it, watched it, and kept watching it. *sigh* So, that was a major tangent. Whole point. Nothing to watch from 8-10pm.
Law and Order SVU: So my fave of the Law and Order series. (Though I am disappointed that Criminal Intent had to get moved to USA- I still watch it). And the best part of SVU…the yummy Adam Beach (ladies, check him out). He’s a good actor, too (Flags of our Fathers, Smoke Signals, Windtalkers, etc). This show dealt with the issues of having a challenged child (well somewhat). A woman was attacked while her child was in the house. Her child had Wilson’s (?) disease. She was so cute and loveable. J Anyway. Turns out wife had affair and got pregnant with other guy’s baby and the other guy’s son killed her. Though challenged, the woman’s daughter had perfect pitch and sensitive hearing and was able to tell the police everything that was said in the house that night and identify the killer by his voice. Cool. The show also dealt with the use of the Patriot Act. The woman’s husband was bait for country’s and terrorist org’s wanting biotech. Oh and yeah, since the woman lived, why couldn’t she identify her attacker?- she was in a coma and when she came out she had retrograde amnesia. Couldn’t remember the affair, pregnancy, or attack. And how does it end? The father leaves the woman alone in the hospital, taking their daughter with him. And she is crying “when can I come home.” It was heartbreaking!!!!
