National Novel Writing Month
31 October 08 08:23 AM | Zach | with no comments

November is National Novel Writing Month. Thanks to j15bell for posting it in the forum (here), I decided it would be fun and I am going to try it out. So I will take on the task of writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. This will be the longest thing I have ever written before.

I also wanted to take the chance and apologize about this past month. I had a change in my daily schedule which interrupted the time that I usually set aside to blog. I will work on that next month. So, along with writing a 50,000 word novel and college essays, I will attempt to write daily next month. Yeah I know, sounds impossible to me too...

I will try to keep my sanity next month, hopefully you can all help me through it. And I think I'm going to declare December 1st as National Nap Day.

Along with the, hopefully, full month on The Dish, I plan on holding 2-3 writing contests! I have some Borders and Barnes and Nobles gift cards to give away and I think this is the PERFECT opportunity to follow through :)

Toni BraxtonBraxton Glad Her Dancing Days are Over...
Grammy Award-winning singer Toni Braxton is quietly glad her stint on reality TV show Dancing the the Stars has come to an end - because she was struggling to cope with the demands of the program.
The "Unbreak My Heart" hitmaker, who suffers from heart and respiratory issues, was voted off the hit show on Tuesday night, despite scoring a respectable 22 out of 30 from the show's judges.
But Braxton has hinted that producers, who feared for her health, may have had the last word when it came to who should be ejected.
She says, "The show you see... we do it earlier (and) I was getting chronically fatigued and I think the judges and the producers knew that.
"(I have) microvascular angina and it falls under the umbrella of a heart attack... like, 27 per cent of my heart doesn't get enough oxygen... I have a tightness (on the show) sometimes... I'm always sitting there, smiling and trying to dance."

David Duchovny has followed through on his threat to sue Britain's Daily Mail over an article which alleged he was dating his tennis coach.
The actor, who recently announced his marriage split from Tea Leoni, has filed a lawsuit against the newspaper claiming he was defamed by what editors published.
The Daily Mail reported that Duchovny had a "full-blown sexual affair" with Edit Pakay, 28 - a story the tennis coach has since denied.
In the lawsuit, filed on Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Duchovny's lawyer states, "The story falsely alleges that Duchovny sought out Ms. Pakay to be his tennis instructor and that the 'professional relationship'... quickly turned into a love match."
The suit also points out the newspaper claimed Duchovny had said he would leave Tea Leoni for Pakay.
Duchovny insists there was never a romantic relationship. The suit claims, contrary to the story, that Pakay never told the paper there was a romantic or sexual relationship.
According to TMZ.com, the actor wants at least $1 million in damages.
