Fiber boosters!

    Fiber boosters!

    Where are you getting your fiber from?

    Cereal is a good one - I like FiberOne caramel cereal (one of the other FiberOne flavors had HFCS in it so I avoided that one) 

    I'm also eating almonds, which provide a little extra.

    What are you guys eating to boost your fiber?

    So I thought eating fiber would be really hard, but it wasn't as bad as I thought... a lot of this is stuff I would have eaten normally (just probably not as often or not all in the same day!)

    Some of my favorites: cereal (I eat Cheerios which has 3g, but lots of cereals have more fiber than that), strawberries, apples, bananas, blackberries, raspberries, corn, potatoes, artichokes, whole wheat bread, spaghetti, and granola/nutrition bars.

    I found a lot of sites with good info on fiber, but this one was one of the easiest:

     Fresh fruit is always a good source.  And yep, lots of cereals have more fiber - and they're tasty, too!  And don't forget your salad!

    There are also things like Benefiber that you can just stir into a drink or food - no taste at all, but plenty of fiber.

     Wow, I was doing a fiber booster without even realizing it.  I like to have a can of V-8 almost every day - and I just looked now and found that's 3 more grams of fiber I'm getting.  Cool!
